Authentic Italian Mozzicato Bakery Expands to Middletown, Connecticut
Paul "Paolo" Mozzicato is a respected presence in the Hartford, Connecticut community who balances a career in real estate investment with a role as co-manager and co-owner of Mozzicato Bakery. With mom and pop origins, Paul "Paolo" Mozzicato’s bakery embodies traditional Italian flavors and emphasizes authenticity and quality of ingredients.
As reported in the Middletown Press, the Mozzicato DePasquale Bakery opened its doors on Washington Street in early 2018. Joining three other locations, the spacious 3,000-square-foot bakery features timeless confections such as biscotti, tiramisu hazelnut rolls, cannoli, sfogliatelle, and bigne shells with sweet ricotta.
The decision to expand was described as reflecting the family’s longstanding experience catering to customers in Middletown, with the city offering “the right fit for us.” As with the Wallingford and Plainville locations, the space encompasses an on-site bakery and cake preparation space, as well as retail store and cafe. The Mozzicato Caffe is known for its full range of pastries, as well as authentic cappuccino, espresso, and latte drinks.
